Flowstate Health (Jail Services)
Flowstate Health offers the following services to 78 Iowa county jails, including Clay County.
Psychiatry and Medication Management tailored to the jail environment: Client-centered care is delivered while aligning medication decisions with facility protocols, safety standards, and operational procedures. Services: comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, ongoing medication management, and close collaboration with jail medical and custody staff to support continuity, safety, and appropriate treatment planning.
Mental Health Therapy: Brief, solution-focused, and designed for short lengths of stay and the realities of jail-based care focusing on stabilization, coping skills development, and addressing immediate mental health concerns. Services: short-term individual therapy, crisis intervention, skills-based support for regulation and grounding, and coordination with community providers to support continuity of care after release.
Substance Use Evaluations: Licensed clinicians complete assessments using ASAM criteria to determine the most appropriate level of care. These evaluations support placement decisions and reduce delays for individuals seeking treatment. Assessments are coordinated with courts, probation, attorneys, and treatment providers to support informed decision-making and smoother transitions to residential or outpatient services when appropriate.
Care Coordination/Reentry Support: Our team works closely with jails, courts, attorneys, probation officers, treatment providers, and community supports to provide treatment referrals, appointment scheduling, transition planning, and off-hours communication to manage urgent needs and reduce gaps in care during release or transfer.
24/7 Crisis Response: As one integrated provider, Flowstate offers around-the-clock crisis response for partnering jails. This streamlined approach reduces missed communication, accelerates decision-making, and enhances safety for both individuals in custody and facility staff.
